Over
the years, Grand Hotel has accommodated some of the greatest
int/nal personalities, such as Margaret Thatcher, Helmut
Kohl, Gregory Peck, Constantine Karamanlis, Mikes Theodorakis,
Anthony Quinn, the Queen of Holland and many others. The
Hotel has also hosted a number of international events
as well as the Conference of the EU leaders in 1988.
The Hotel offers two main restaurants, Acandia and Castellania,
with cosmopolitan cuisine and Greek specialities. The
Yellow Spot self-service snack-bar, the pool-side Hellios
restaurant and Naides bar open in summer only. Indoor

children's paddling pool and an indoor heated fresh-water
pool. The 18-hole Afantou Golf Course lies only 20 kms
